UAE agreed to Israeli offer of full normalization under the pretext of protection from Iran

Sources close to the UAE’s ruling regime have confirmed to Emirates Leaks that it has approved an offer from Israel for full normalization allegedly to protect the state from the threat of Iran.

The sources said that the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, the de facto ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed secretly agreed to the agreement with Israel as an extension to allow it for many years to comprehensive cooperation with the Jewish state.

This comes as the Israeli “Channel 12” days ago talked about efforts by Tel Aviv to sign a “non-war” agreement with the Gulf countries in order to address the threat of Iran and curb its influence in the Middle East, according to the site “I 24” Israeli news.

According to the channel, Israel seeks from this agreement also to normalize its relations with the Gulf States in the areas of “anti-terrorism” and economic cooperation, because of the realization that it is “impossible” at the current stage to conclude a full peace agreement in light of the continuing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The channel said that Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz presented the initiative to his Gulf counterparts in a series of meetings with them on the sidelines of the annual conference of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Katz also presented the initiative to US Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt, Channel 12 reported.

“I am working on a political initiative to sign non-aggression agreements with the Gulf Arab states,” Katz wrote today on his Twitter account.

“This historic step will put an end to the conflict and allow civil cooperation until peace agreements are signed,” he said.

The agreement includes, according to the Israeli channel, four items, namely, “the development of friendships and cooperation between the two sides, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law.”

Secondly, to take necessary and effective steps to ensure that no activities or threats of hostility, hostility, conspiracy, violence or incitement against one party, which are not crystallized or financed from the territory of the other.

The terms of the agreement also include “refraining from joining, paying or assisting a coalition, organization or alliance of a military or security nature, with a third party” and that “any disputes arising from the agreement shall be resolved through consultations”.

The UAE maintains comprehensive security, political and economic relations with Israel and receives and receives its officials periodically.

Last month, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed met Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Meanwhile, Israeli media confirmed that a secret meeting between Katz and Bin Zayed was held in New York, while Israeli media and commentator Eddie Cohen said that the meeting was not the first of its kind and was preceded by several meetings between Netanyahu and other Israeli officials with Abdullah bin Zayed.

The Israeli media even confirmed that Abdullah bin Zayed visited Israel a few months ago and held top secret meetings with senior state officials.

Katz visited the UAE two months ago and met privately with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed. Secret contacts and meetings between Israel and the UAE to coordinate the situation against Iran have also been repeatedly disclosed.

The coordination and shame of normalization between the UAE regime and Israel is on the rise and taking a more aggressive path to the public with Hebrew newspapers confirming Israeli meetings with Emiratis and exchanging security information.

The Israeli press has expanded to talk about relations with the UAE, in light of recent Western reports of secret meetings and security cooperation between them.

The Israeli press added that “relations between Israel and the Gulf countries, especially the UAE has witnessed an increasing warmth lately informally, especially to confront the Iranian nuclear project, and Tehran’s interventions in the civil wars in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.”

The Israeli press stressed that “the recent Israeli-Gulf meetings increase the possibility of raising the level of diplomatic, security and military cooperation between them, in light of the ongoing US efforts to coordinate positions and policies in the diplomatic, military and intelligence fields, because these efforts have proved useful in preventing and thwarting cyber threats and hostile operations planned by Iran in different countries.”
