Photos: Burning UAE flags in protest of Ukrainian activists at the European Parliament
Ukrainian activists burned UAE flags and pictures of its president, Mohammed bin Zayed, protesting his recent visit to France in front of the European Parliament headquarters in Brussels.
Activists of the Ukrainian Red Wolves groups organised a protest against establishing any European country with the UAE in light of the support it provides to the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin in its ongoing war in Ukraine since last February.
During the protest, activists burned Emirati flags, ran over and tore up pictures of President Mohammed bin Zayed in refusal to his Paris visit this week.
Protesters set fire to Emirati flags, chanted against them, and then tore and trampled on pictures of Mohammed bin Zayed.
The protesters tweeted that this event is an extension of the activities they have carried out during the past two months in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Belgium, denouncing the UAE’s alliance with Russia.
The protesters also spoke with passers-by in front of the European Parliament and distributed leaflets and photos showing the UAE’s involvement in supporting Russia in its ongoing war against Ukraine.
One of the protesters climbed the walls of the European Parliament and chanted against Abu Dhabi to draw the European Union’s attention to the situation in Ukraine and the need to punish the countries involved in the war on the country.
The Red Wolves vowed to continue the struggle against Russia and its supporters. They said they would target the UAE and its interests in Europe with peaceful protests until Abu Dhabi stops its complicit behavior with Russia.
The Red Wolves stated that they would only stop their struggle in one case: to expel the wealthy Russians from Dubai and stop Abu Dhabi’s support for Putin’s regime and the militias supporting it in the separatist regions politically, militarily, and economically.
