UAE incitement campaign against Oman

UAE media outlets have strongly attacked Oman, accusing it of conspiring with Iran and Qatar, and linking it to allegations that have made cynical comments.

The writer, affiliated with the NISS, Salem Humaid, director of the Al Mazama Center for Studies and Research in the UAE, launched a fierce attack on the Sultanate of Oman, accusing it of conspiring against the Arab nation in cooperation with the Iranian regime and its militias, and went so far as to “threaten the Omani regime that the UAE can deter it and stop it alone! ”

In an article posted on the center’s website, Hamid claimed that “Oman, a country that does not master the arts of foreign policy, has been silent only when it needs to adopt a position that threatens the security of the Arabian Gulf, or has for decades been a loyal ally of Iran and a bridge to it.”

“Certainly, the foreign policy industry in this recession is related to the historical refraction of Oman, which is still locked in the century before, when it owned some foreign trade ships,” he said. It is not required to provide an effective policy, while it does not have the tools, but as long as it is required, to be an honest gateway to those crossing into Arabia. ”

He went on to say that “at the height of the Arab Gulf’s preoccupation with the Iranian expansion through its Houthi terrorist militias, Oman was a gateway to this infiltration in the darkness of the night, such as bringing thieves at night to his neighbor’s house, to gain some special benefits.”

“Oman was silent on the Houthi aggression, and before it on the Qatari conspiracy, and silent on the Iranian expansion through its militias in the Arab world, and silence on every Arab issue, and in every tragedy, but it was very effective when Iran was subject to international sanctions, and when Iran’s security is threatened.”

“We have the right to ask here: is Oman really a Gulf Arab state? Or are the ancient links to the Persians, who rules this Mughal coast in its isolation?

He continued, “We regret to see our parents and cousins, forced to turn their lands, into a crossing for a nation of slaves, the people of fever, and in their name beaten Arabs. Geography was imposed on us, and we never succumbed to it, and did not convince the glories of history in which we bore our Arabian Gulf, so we made a miracle for the whole world, and our house, Dar Zayed, was open to every brother, friend and lover, and we never thought that the neighbor (the closest kin) would be turned. The owner of the injury. ”

He claimed that “perhaps, as we mentioned, the complexity of history and geography, and perhaps the complexity of failure to achieve an achievement comparable to neighboring achievements, and we do not blame them for this, it is a series of failures will not end, as long as the main effort is to retaliate against themselves. Perhaps a sane voice comes out of this sultanate of silence and conspiracy, shake off the humiliation of politicians, and leave the doors open for those who want good in our Gulf, and be a support for all his neighborhood, and restore the splendor of this land, and be a partner in our renaissance, which we see the renaissance of all Arabs, and the first of our people and our neighborhood, but To the entire peaceful world.”

He concluded his article with a clear threat “on the other hand, we refuse to reach out to us, who seeks to ruin the Arabian Gulf, is like a spoiler in the land, and repel a duty, and the right of us, and no one thinks that we are unable to impose what we see the interest of the whole of our Gulf, and we have long been terrified Our brothers, we are her family.”

According to informed Gulf sources, there is more than one crisis in relations between the Sultanate of Oman and a country, most notably the issue of UAE spying after the success of Omani intelligence in dismantling a wide spy network behind the military intelligence services of Abu Dhabi.

The sources said that the Omani authorities’ seizure of the UAE spy network revealed that the mission of this network, winning the loyalties of Omani officers and politicians, to the UAE to serve the strategic project, which is preparing for the post-Sultan Qaboos in order to contain the Sultanate of Oman and pave the way for its inclusion of the UAE in a confederate project.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are pressing to force Oman to change its stance on many issues and adopt policies that are closely aligned with their own policies, the US intelligence website Stratfor said in a report.

Despite Oman’s neutrality in the Gulf, and with the US targeting Iran with economic sanctions, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are pushing it to cut ties with Iran.

Muscat is using its wide and distinctive relations with international and regional powers to resist pressure, describing it as having experience in the balance of power.
