Millions of Emirati funds for incitement… Maat Foundation as a model

The ruling regime in the UAE pays millions of money to mercenaries who claim to be human rights figures for the purpose of practicing incitement and mutilation against the opponents of Abu Dhabi and covering the country’s black legal record.

The UAE is funding a fictitious human rights lobby that has been active in Europe for years to serve the UAE’s conspiracies that are overflowing with money for people who are least described as mercenaries who adopt the approach of their masters in Abu Dhabi with security instructions.

In the forefront of the imaginary lobby scene in the UAE these days, the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights, to which millions of people have been pumped from Abu Dhabi in order to intensify the attack on Turkey, Qatar and other opponents of Abu Dhabi, is highlighted.

The controversial establishment recently launched a new Facebook page called “Maat Group”, which it uses openly as a platform for incitement and passing suspicious policies of Abu Dhabi.

The page devotes its reports to trying to beautify the image of the UAE and cover up its grave violations of human rights internally and externally, especially its criminal war in Yemen and its aggressive interference in Libya.

In addition, the page provides a platform to defend the Emirates militias in Yemen and Libya in light of its involvement in spreading chaos, sabotage and war crimes against civilians in both countries.

The aforementioned institution is active in publishing fabricated leaflets and reports on social media sites, attacking Turkey and Qatar and trying to accuse them of terrorism and claiming that they are witnessing human rights violations without providing any evidence of that.

The Egyptian National Foundation is headed by Ayman Aqeel, who receives his instructions directly from the Emirati intelligence in exchange for large sums of money to serve the agendas of Abu Dhabi and try to defame their opponents.

Aqeel founded the Maat Foundation in the year 2008, and he previously claimed through his foundation to launch an “International Alliance for Peace and Development” under the slogan “Unite for Peace” by claiming to expose the sponsors of terrorism and extremist groups, while in reality the alliance is a fake star to improve the image of the UAE and attack its opponents.

Aqeel is a controversial figure who claims to be a human rights activist who is active in observing elections and human rights work, but in reality he is a mercenary who relies on bribes and collects money in exchange for selling positions.

Abu Dhabi used Aqeel in its battle against the Arab Spring, especially in Egypt, to attack the first elections after the January 25 revolution, and the elected president, Mohamed Morsi, and then covered up the crimes of the military coup and the election play that brought Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to the presidency of Egypt.

Arab and Egyptian human rights organizations accused Aqeel of working under the command of the Emirati intelligence service, receiving illicit funds and undermining the reputation of civil society and human rights organizations, especially with being the local partner of Louay Deeb in monitoring the elections.

The Maat Foundation was in close relationship and an active member with the International Network for Rights and Development led by Louay Dib, who was sentenced last month by a Norwegian court to a prison sentence of four and a half years.

Dib was sentenced after several months of trial and years of security prosecution, knowing that his trial began at the Stavanger Court in Norway in mid-September 2018, when several serious charges were brought against him, after years of prosecution of Norwegian security.

The Norwegian newspaper, “Stavanger Aften Bladet”, citing official Norwegian investigations, said that Depp was involved in exploiting the work of his institution to carry out suspicious activities for the UAE authorities and carry out money laundering operations.

The prosecution began in May 2015 when a Norwegian police force and a force from the Economic Crime Prevention Bureau stormed the home of Deeb and his office in the International Network for Rights and Development, and provided documentation sources.

The documents revealed that the human rights network run by Dib works as a front for the cover of terrorist activities in the UAE, supervised and pursued by the Palestinian Mohammed Dahlan, who escaped from the pursuit of the Palestinian judiciary to the UAE and worked as a security advisor to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed.

After the exposure of the International Network for Rights, Development and Governance issued to Louay Dib, the imaginary lobby of the UAE worked to push Maat to lead the scene and to carry out activities and seminars to attack and defame the opponents of Abu Dhabi.

And European institutions have previously revealed the UAE’s involvement in impersonating international human rights organizations and using the names of other fake organizations in order to issue political positions and attack the State of Qatar and work to distort its image.

The imaginary Emirates lobby has always employed fake Egyptian institutions and impersonated human rights organizations for the purpose of issuing statements and positions against their opponents in exchange for financial sums.

This raises the condemnation and criticism of international human rights institutions for this exposed Emirati method in impersonating human rights organizations and using fake ones to serve their conspiracies and cover up their violations.
