The Emirates Center for Studies and Media (EMASEC) highlighted the common interests between the rulers of the Emirates and the far-right parties in Europe.

The Center noted that Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sent special congratulations to the winning candidate, headed by the Italian Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni.

The UAE President and Vice President emphasized the depth of relations between the UAE and Italy, the government and the people. According to what the official news agency WAM reported, they expressed their readiness to develop and value them.

Georgia Meloni, the newly elected prime minister in Italy, ranks as the leader of the Brothers of Italy party, the leader of the far-right movement in the country.

She was known for her anti-Arab and Muslim immigrants, her advocacy of strengthening Italian nationalism, and her reliance on populist rhetoric based on promoting feelings of discrimination and racism against foreigners.

In her activity and political vision, Georgia Meloni adopts the old fascist approach that ruled Italy with iron and fire at the beginning of the twentieth century. She is also hostile to Russian President Vladimir Putin because of his war against Ukraine.

Meloni’s policies and international and regional views on many issues intersect with the current UAE trends, but they contradict them regarding the position on the Russian-Ukrainian war, and anti-Moscow, as the UAE stands a neutral position between the Western and Russian poles and is trying to support and strengthen its relations with the two parties.

The UAE is trying to bypass the new Italian rulers’ political affiliations to enhance its economic interests and the continuity of its trade partnership with Italy, ignoring all decisions that may be taken in the future against Arab and Muslim immigrants in Italy.

And an investigation published by the British Bayline Times website revealed that the UAE strongly supports Islamophobia in Europe based on its position against Islamic movements.

The site stated that the new form of Islamophobia started from the American and Israeli extreme right and ended with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, stressing that the idea of linking Islam with terrorism belongs to the leaders of the Emirates, its allies and dictators around the world.

The famous British researcher Andreas Craig also accused the UAE of promoting Islamophobia in circles through its networks of influence in Britain.

The British researcher said that “the anti-Islamic narratives, which the UAE publishes through its network of influence in the United Kingdom, undermine the objective discourse on this issue.”

The researcher denounced the official silence on the Emirati interventions, saying: “If the Russians intervened, we would raise red flags.”
