Emirates public schools without books amid disregard of the system

Although more than a month and a half has elapsed since the start of the school year, the majority of public schools in the UAE are still without books amid total disregard for the regime that is preoccupied with its wars and foreign interventions at the expense of the most basic rights of citizens and expatriates.

Parents of students complained that their children had not received some textbooks so far, in a dire situation, so that students had to take turns rotating the books available with them, to review their lessons.

They reported that each of the scientific materials have two books, one of which is the book “Practical”, and this was received by the majority of students, and “Student Book” containing lessons, which schools have seen a shortage of copies.

“Our children have had to rotate copies of books that are in short supply with colleagues so that they can review their lessons, who are only about one and a half months away from the first semester exams,” they said.

The director of a public school that the school has suffered from the lack of books in a number of subjects, since the beginning of the school year.

Government schools have resorted to an alternative plan to solve the problem of the lack of some textbooks, through the exchange of copies of books in excess of the need of students, with schools that are short of books.

Three lists showed, according to the local newspaper “Emirates Today,” the increase of books in schools and shortages in other schools, and students complained about the problem of shortage of books, especially since the students are no longer separated from the examinations of the end of the semester only a month and a half.

A list from one school, titled Delivering Textbooks to Other Schools, for the first semester of the current school year, included an increase of 25 copies, 17 copies of the Bridge to Success course book version 1.2 level EN6.1, and three copies of the physics (Student book), for the tenth grade advanced part I, and two copies of the book of Chemistry (student book), for the tenth grade advanced, part I, and three copies of the book Mathematics – Advanced Stream – SE-G10-P01.

Another school identified a shortage of 182 books, distributed over 16 subjects, 38 copies of Islamic education for the ninth grade, seven copies of the mathematics book (student book) for the ninth grade applied, and 12 of Business Studies – course book, for the ninth grade, And 10 of the book of Islamic education for the tenth grade, and four copies of the book of social studies and national education – see the analysis of the book for the tenth grade.

It also included three books of mathematics (student book) for the tenth grade applied, four copies of the language applications book for the eleventh grade, four of the book of social studies and national education for the eleventh grade, and six of the book of Islamic education for the twelfth grade, and three of the book Emirates history Activity Book) for Grade 12, eight copies of UAE History Book (Student Book) for Grade 12, seven of Union Power for Grade 12, and three of Social Studies – Vision and Analysis of Activity Book for Grade 12, and four of Language applications for the twelfth grade, and 69 n He’s from the book of chemistry the twelfth grade.

A third school identified a shortage of 40 copies of four books, 20 copies of General Grade 9 Course Book P01 for Grade 9, 10 copies of Integrated Science (Student Book), Part I of Grade 9, and five copies of Computer Science- activity book for the ninth grade year, and five copies of the mathematics book (student book) for the ninth grade year.

The school calendar for the current academic year showed that the winter vacation will start on December 15, which will be after the completion of the exams of the first semester, which indicates that the remaining time for the start of the exams about a month and a half.
