In a practical translation of the escalation of bilateral normalization, Israel congratulated the Emirates on the occasion of the 48th National Day.
“On the occasion of the 48th National Day of the UAE, we extend our best wishes to the Emirati people and their wise leadership,” wrote the account “Israel Speaks Arabic” which belongs to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “Accept our warmest congratulations from the Israeli people. To more progress and prosperity in an atmosphere of tolerance and coexistence between different religions. ”
This comes as an official Israeli delegation visited the Emirates of Dubai to attend a preparatory meeting for the international participants in the Expo 2020 exhibition.
According to a statement of the ministry via its Arabic page on Facebook, “The said meeting aims to review the ongoing preparations in preparation for the launch of the exhibition in Dubai, in which Israel will participate.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has previously announced that Israel will participate in the Dubai World Expo 2020, which is taking place in the UAE.
Netanyahu said in a statement last October during the weekly cabinet session, that Israel’s participation in the exhibition in Dubai “reflects the progress of normalization with Arab countries on the ground.”
He added, “We have continuous relations with six Arab countries, at least, and this is done thanks to our policy that combines power and common interests and a very conscious vision that will push forward normalization, step by step, in a way that ultimately leads to peaceful relations.”
