An Israeli media outlet mocked the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the de facto ruler of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed, describing him as homosexual for his relations with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The episode of the satirical “Irts Nehdert” program, broadcast by Israeli Channel 12, dealt with the relationship of Mohammed bin Zayed and Netanyahu, where the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi appeared as an entertainment subject.

Mohammed bin Zayed was presented in the program as a gay and lover of Netanyahu, trying to get close to him in every way, in reference to the agreement to announce normalization that was announced last month between the UAE and Israel.

Observers wondered about Mohammed bin Zayed and the UAE’s response to the mockery of the Hebrew media, especially after the systematic incitement carried out against the cartoonist Imad Hajah and the push for his arrest because of his mockery of bin Zayed.

For his part, the Palestinian researcher on Israeli affairs, Saleh al-Naami, said that the Hebrew Channel 12’s mockery of the ruler of the Emirates in this way reminds the Israeli artist, Elie Yispan, of Hosni Mubarak.

Mohammed bin Zayed’s move constituted a blatant reversal of the Arab and Islamic consensus to which the founders of the UAE adhered to regarding the position on the Palestinian issue by declaring official normalization after decades of secret cooperation.

Mohammed bin Zayed went further by announcing the adoption of comprehensive policies in the UAE aimed at satisfying Israel, including his intention to change the curriculum and the religious discourse in the country.

A member of the UAE National Council, Ali Al-Nuaimi, stated that the Emirati regime will change the religious discourse and educational curricula “so that the Israelis feel at ease and belonging.”

“We want the Israeli people to feel belonging, feel safe and secure, feel that they are a natural component of the region, and feel they have acceptance,” Al-Naimi said in an interview with a Hebrew channel.

He added that the religious, political and media discourse, as well as educational curricula, are being reviewed.

Observers assert that there is one result that cannot be discussed, and does not need proof, that Israel is the sole beneficiary of the normalization agreement with Israel.

As Israel will achieve many free gains, and the first thing that Tel Aviv will receive is recognition by the Emirates, and this means that the UAE acknowledges Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories and agrees with Israel’s position rejecting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

The second gain for Israel is that the UAE withdraws from all Arab obligations towards Palestine, and turns its back on all the pledges made by the joint Arab action bodies and institutions towards Palestine and Israel, thus turning the page of support for the Palestinian people’s struggle, and this means that it will stop all forms of support for the Palestinians.

Within the UAE, we have begun to witness a campaign against the Palestinians, and it resonates on social media, and this will have dangerous repercussions, given the large number of Palestinians who live and work in the Emirates.

As for the third Israeli gain, it is represented in the UAE officially entering the Israeli axis against Iran and Turkey, and this would take the Gulf region and the Middle East to a new level of conflicts, wars and arms race. It is likely that the Gulf will be an open arena for this conflict, and it will be greatly damaged, given its fragile structure.
