Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed, after tweeting about the “Jewish Holocaust”, considering his words as a new sign of the change the Arab world is witnessing towards “Israel”.

This came in a tweet to Netanyahu on his official account on Twitter, shortly before he went to Washington to meet US President Donald Trump, where the latter is expected to inform him of the details of the “Deal of the Century”.

“I welcome the important words of the Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed, who reminded the victims of the Holocaust and called for confronting racism, hatred and extremism,” Netanyahu said.

And Netanyahu considered that what bin Zayed said represents a “breakthrough” in the position of the Arab world on the “Holocaust”, and new evidence of the Arabs’ changing attitude towards “Israel”.

Bin Zayed wrote on his Twitter account: “On the memory of the Nazi Holocaust, we stand with humanity in its rejection of racism, hatred and extremism. We together remember the lives that were lost so that these crimes against humanity would not be repeated.”

The Emirati Foreign Minister has previously flirted with Israel on several occasions, the last of which was last month, when he shared an article entitled “Reforming Islam: An Arab-Israeli Alliance in the Form of the Middle East,” to his account.

The article talks about “drawing new maps of the Muslim mind, at a time when the old hatred is disappearing.” The article also includes an official UAE recognition of the existence of a Jewish synagogue in Dubai, which was well received by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

The pace of normalization is accelerating as a standard between Israel and the Emirates, which the Israeli Foreign Minister visited on July 1, 2019.

The pace of normalization has increased during the recent period in various forms between Israelis and the Emirates, through Israeli economic, cultural and sports partnerships in Abu Dhabi.
