New evidence of the UAE’s hostile stance on the Palestinian issue

The revelation that the UAE has banned the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, from entering its territory to represent the Palestinians at an international conference provides new evidence of Abu Dhabi’s hostile stance on the Palestinian issue.

This comes as the UAE is in full harmony with the US administration and Israel in order to implement the Deal of the Century which is aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue and included the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

This also comes in light of the escalating pace of normalization between the UAE and Israel and the reception of Abu Dhabi and Dubai dozens of official delegations, sports and even military from Israel in succession.

A Palestinian source have revealed that the UAE did not issue a “visa” to Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, who was due to arrive in Abu Dhabi last Sunday, but the lack of a visa, prevented that.

The source pointed out that the Palestinian authorities, formally addressed the UAE authorities about the matter and expressed their condemnation of the Abu Dhabi move, which has almost cut off any years with any contacts with the Palestinians.

The ruling regime in the UAE is involved in a conspiracy to liquidate the Palestinian issue through financial and political support for the American Century deal and present Israel as a reality in the Middle East through normalization and escalation of relations with it.

The UAE regime has stepped up its involvement in the shame of normalization with Israel at a time when its relations with the Palestinians at the official, factional or even popular level are almost completely cut off in a rare Arab and Islamic paradox.

Palestinian observers say the UAE and the Palestinians’ relations have been cut off because of Abu Dhabi’s stances on the Palestinian issue.

These include the public normalization of the UAE with Israel and the adoption of a policy of pressure to accept the US dictates, including the “Deal of the Century,” and embrace the separated leader of the Fatah movement and controversial Mohammed Dahlan.

In addition to the shameful practices of the UAE against the Palestinian community through prosecution and arrest, as well as the Abu Dhabi relationship with suspicious transactions within the city of Jerusalem, all the reasons that led the Palestinians to raise the red card in the face of the UAE role.

Politicians and analysts agree that the UAE has taken the opposite path to the aspirations and aspirations of the Palestinians to get rid of the occupation and go towards the state and freedom, and that the steps it is taking against their cause — whether secret or public — have deepened the existing differences and escalated tensions.

Palestinian officials criticize the UAE’s rush towards normalizing relations with Israel through official visits by Israeli officials to Arab countries, most recently the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Kats to Abu Dhabi as “an abuse that harms and betrays the Palestinian cause.”

Nabil Shaath, the advisor to the Palestinian president for foreign and international relations, attacked the UAE when Israel announced its participation in the Expo 2020, which is scheduled to be held in Dubai, and considered this normalization constitutes a “grave error” against the Palestinian cause and the Arab and Islamic positions.

Recently, UAE media and academic voices have tried to promote normalization and strongly support the “Deal of the Century.”

The Palestinian-Emirati dispute has reached the point of boycotting the National Committee for Social Solidarity, a body that is fully supported by the UAE and includes representatives of all Palestinian forces, except Fatah, because this committee is supervised and coordinated by Dahlan.

For years, the UAE has suspended all aid to the Authority, ranking fourth among the top 10 financially supportive countries, worth $ 2 billion.
