The Emirati regime witnessed the launch of the American Deal of the Century to liquidate the Palestinian issue, in violation of the Arab and Islamic consensus in its rejection.
The UAE was keen to send its ambassador to Washington, Yousef Al Otaiba, to the US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conference to launch the plan.
Al-Otaiba stated that the UAE appreciates the ongoing American efforts to reach a real peace agreement between the Palestinians and Israel and believes that the Palestinians and the Israelis can achieve lasting peace and true coexistence with the support of the international community.
Al-Otaiba appreciated the American peace plan and considered it a “serious initiative that addresses many outstanding issues and an important starting point for returning to negotiations under American and international sponsorship,” despite Palestinian categorical rejection of the American plan.
And there have been frequent American reports about the hidden role of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the de facto ruler of the Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed, in formulating and supporting the deal of the century at the expense of liquidating the Palestinian issue.
Trump announced the content of the “peace plan” that he has been working on since the arrival in the White House, known as the “Deal of the Century”.
During a press conference at the White House, Trump said while receiving Netanyahu, that the plan is comprehensive and detailed and is the best for both parties, and my vision was to achieve win for both parties to achieve a Palestinian state and security for Israel at the same time.” Adding, “Netanyahu informed me that he agreed with the plan, and the plan is comprehensive consisting of 181 pages.”
