Activists on social media launched a campaign to boycott Emirati products to protest their crimes and aggressive foreign interference.

Activists tweeted on the tag #boycottingUAEProducts to call for the widest popular boycott of Abu Dhabi products and its economic punishment.

Fake Goods

The tweeters reviewed several varieties of products imported from the UAE via Jebel Ali and other areas in the country, which are proven unfit for use.

Other activists were quick to uncover the barcode 629, which symbolizes products of Emirati origin, noting that some products are counterfeit in the country of origin on them.

Activists published videos revealing products bearing the UAE barcode, but another country was placed on them, and some videos showed food items containing insects and worms.

Popular Punishment

The tweeters highlighted the crimes committed by the UAE in its war on Yemen, its military intervention in Libya, and conspiracy against Arab countries.

They also stressed the need to boycott the UAE in light of its encroachment with shameful agreements of normalization with Israel and the conclusion of a series of economic agreements with it.

The activists pointed out that 4 Israeli companies opened factories in the UAE.

Soda Stream for soft drinks, Delec for the manufacture of oils and petroleum products, and Medtronic for the manufacture of medical devices will be exported to Arab countries in the name of the Emirates.

They also indicated that the UAE imported products of the Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Economic Crisis

For years, the economy of the UAE has been deteriorating, but the growing boycott of the country’s non-oil products has threatened of knockout.

These risks regarding the expansion of the boycott of UAE products add to a long list of unprecedented challenges facing the country’s economy.
