A Sudanese military official has attacked the UAE President, Mohammed bin Zayed, describing him as the tyrant of the era and the devil of the Arabs, in light of his conspiracies against Arab countries and his sponsorship of civil wars.

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, confirmed that Mohammed bin Zayed is attempting to occupy Sudan by providing aid and weapons to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

Al-Atta stated that Mohammed bin Zayed, “the devil of the Arabs,” is tampering with Sudan and Africa, supporting mercenaries in the region, all under the watchful eye of the world and its various international organizations, with no deterrent. “No one can tell him to stop this chaos,” he said.

He added, attacking bin Zayed: “He is the tyrant of this era, leading an army of the Tatars and Mongols of this time.”

Al-Atta vowed to confront bin Zayed’s plans to divide Sudan, threatening to “cut off his hand” stained with the blood of innocent Sudanese and to reach him at his doorstep, along with all those who helped him.

This is not the first time that Al-Atta has attacked the UAE president and criticized the UAE’s role in the ongoing conflict in Sudan. On several occasions, Al-Atta has accused Abu Dhabi of fueling the Sudanese crisis by providing military support to the RSF, which is led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemeti, and supported by the UAE.

A report by the Wall Street Journal revealed about three weeks ago that Colombian mercenaries were involved in the war in Sudan alongside the RSF, with support from the UAE.

The report confirmed that the Colombian fighters were hired by a company based in Abu Dhabi called Global Security Services Group (GSSG), which is the only armed private security provider to the UAE government.

The report mentioned that the Colombian recruits were flown to Libyan territory controlled by warlord Khalifa Haftar before crossing into the stronghold of the RSF in Darfur.

Additionally, the UAE has been shipping arms and other military supplies to the RSF, as reported earlier by the Wall Street Journal and supported by UN experts.

Reuters also exposed flights from the UAE transporting arms and military supplies to the RSF militias to escalate the civil war in Sudan.

According to the agency, flight data and satellite images showed that since the outbreak of the civil war in Sudan last year, dozens of cargo planes from the UAE have landed at a small airstrip in Chad, suspected by UN experts and diplomats to be used for transporting arms across the border into Sudan.

Flight data and documents verified by Reuters indicated at least 86 flights from the UAE to an airstrip in Um Jaris in eastern Chad since the war began in April 2023. Three-quarters of these flights were operated by airlines accused by the UN of transporting arms from the UAE to Libya.
