UAE congratulates Israel on Hebrew New Year!
The ruling regime in the UAE is normalizing with Israel to the extent of congratulating the occupying state on its Hebrew holiday.
UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed congratulated Israel on the occasion of the Jewish New Year.
The UAE maintains comprehensive security, political and economic relations with Israel and receives its officials on a regular basis.
Abdullah bin Zayed met with Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Kats on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also met in New York two years ago.
As usual, Ben Zayed’s tweet has been widely criticized on social media.
Israeli commentator Adnan Abu Amer ridiculed the congratulations by saying: “When people congratulate their Jewish cousins on the Jewish New Year; in their Hebrew language;
Jews celebrate New Year’s Day at the beginning of the Hebrew year, the first day of October.
