A TV program revealed leaked documents and recordings that expose the UAE’s acquisition of a
Hollywood movie to offend the State of Qatar. Abu Dhabi paid huge sums of money to distort its content.

Al Jazeera investigative program, The Hidden is More Immense, revealed secret documents confirming
that the UAE funded a huge Hollywood production, The Misfits.

The program proved that Abu Dhabi sought to control the film entirely to offend Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood after revealing evidence statements and documents for the first time.

The story of the film revolves around an island called Jaziristan, and deals with combating terrorism in
the Middle East. It is noted that the name of the places and the plates of the car numbers, and other signs that they are Qatari, and terrorism has also been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

According to Al-Jazeera, the program revealed the scenes of this controversial work after obtaining
confidential documents and interviewing people who participated in the work, especially one of its three producers.

The same source said that Abu Dhabi spent huge sums of money to pressure and acquire the film. It
also transformed the first scenario from a fictional movie into a political realism, aiming to offend Qatar, using real names referring to Doha and linking it to terrorism and its sponsorship.

Perhaps the most prominent names targeted by the Emirati film production are Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi. Abu Dhabi was able to impose scenes that show it supports and incites terrorism.

In addition, the What is Hidden is Greater program reached a document confirming that the film’s
production crew enjoyed tremendous support from Emirati media on the technical and logistical levels
and were also provided with military equipment for filming.

The investigation also presented an audio leak attributed to Mansour Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, who works
in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. He offers the screenwriter, Robert Henny, an amount of
50 thousand dollars to agree to amend the script and introduce the amendments that the UAE wants.

In addition, the famous program obtained the first version of the script, and it was compared to the last
version to show a significant difference between them. The first was a fictional movie with no
connection with reality, while the second carries political messages targeting Qatar and linking it to terrorism.

The name of Qatar was mentioned on 15 occasions, and the list of personalities included a group of Qatari names, including the name of Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, who was considered the main architect of the September 11 attacks.

The investigation stated that the American actor, Wesley Snapes, refused to participate in this work
because of the political messages it carries targeting a specific country, considering that this affects his artistic career.

Last month, reliable sources revealed that the UAE had launched a project to prepare a documentary film in Europe to incite against Qatar and discredit it.

The sources told Emirates Leaks that the film aims to interview current and former officials from several
European countries in exchange for financial bribes for the purpose of attacking Qatar. The sources stated that the film focuses on the claim of linking Qatar with terrorism and offending
Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, former head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

A number of Arab journalists who live in Europe, especially in Belgium, reported receiving job offers from
an Emirati media production company to work on preparing the film.

Three journalists of different Arab nationalities confirmed to Emirates Leaks that they rejected Emirati
job offers as unethical and directed directly at inciting against Qatar.
