Netanyahu proves UAE rulers liars, affirms his commitment to annex Palestinian lands

While the rulers of the UAE are trying to justify their announced normalization agreement saying that it comes in exchange for ending further annexation of Palestinian lands, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, proved them lairs.

Netanyahu confirmed on Thursday, only hours after announcing the agreement, that he is still committed to the annexation plan, confirming that it is “still on the table”.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that US President Trump called Netanyahu and congratulated him on the “historic achievement”. Netanyahu pointed out that US President Donald Trump asked Israel to delay the annexation plan in exchange for signing the agreement with the UAE.

Netanyahu’s comments during a televised conference came shortly after US President Donald Trump and the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed, announced that Israel had agreed to halt the annexation plan in exchange for normalizing relations between UAE and Israel.

“There is no change to my plan to extend sovereignty, our sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, in full coordination with the United States,” Netanyahu said, using the biblical name for the occupied West Bank.

“After years of my making efforts, dreaming of it, working toward it… to establish the third peace agreement between Israel and an Arab state, the United Arab Emirates,” Netanyahu said.

Israel has peace treaties with Egypt, signed in 1979, and Jordan, signed 1994.

US President Donald Trump said earlier on Twitter that a “historic peace deal” had been reached between Israel and the UAE, while Netanyahu retweeted Trump’s tweet and said: “A historic day.”

“During a call with President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, an agreement was reached to stop further Israeli annexation of Palestinian territories,” Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of the Emirates, said on Twitter.

He added, “The UAE and Israel also agreed to cooperation and setting a roadmap towards establishing a bilateral relationship.”

He also said the agreement reflects the “dramatic change” in the way Israel was perceived in the region as many states today “see Israel as a strategic ally for stability, for security, for advancement and also for peace.

The Prime Minister made it clear that there would be more peace agreements with Arab countries without going back to the June 1967 borders.

Netanyahu described his conversation with Trump and bin Zayed as exciting, noting that the Israeli people seek peace and pray for peace.

He explained that the peace agreement with the United Arab Emirates includes direct flights between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi, in addition to cooperation in the fields of energy, water and other areas.

After this agreement, the UAE is the first Gulf state to have diplomatic relations with Israel.
